Magnificent Moms: Ten Biblical Attributes

mothersdayHappy Mother’s Day to all the great Moms! You make us who we are and we are grateful!

Today we are going to take a look at some of the Biblical attributes of Magnificent Moms. I doubt anyone hits all of them perfectly, but I know a lot of Moms – including four very special ones in my life – that get awful close. (Four? – For those wondering, I have a great Birth Mom, a wonderful Adopted Mom who married my Dad, A Blessed Covenant Mom I got when I married my Wife and of course my Wife – and Mother of our two girls – is one of the greatest Moms I know.)

Now that we got that complicated explanation out of the way, here are Ten Biblical Attributes of a Magnificent Mom:

1. Committed: Magnificent Moms love, and are committed to their Husband and children (Titus 2:4-5)

2. Instructive: Magnificent Moms have great insight and advice. They teach diligently in all situations. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

3. Perspective: Even in the trying times, Magnificent Moms understand that children are a heritage from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3)

4. Wise: Magnificent Moms speak wisely and teach kindness. (Proverbs 31:26)

5. Productive: Magnificent Moms keep busy with important matters. (Proverbs 31:27)

6. Loving: Magnificent Moms have a love that only takes a backseat to God. (Isaiah 49:15)

7. Disciplined: Magnificent Moms understand the importance of discipline in themselves and their children. (Proverbs 29:15)

8. Visionary: Magnificent Moms know that if they raise a child in the way he/she should go that will not stray from it when they get old – even if there are times in between… (Proverbs 22:6)

9. Generational: Magnificent Moms know that Grandchildren are a “crown”. (Proverbs 17:6)

10. Foundational: Magnificent Moms understand and live the foundational principles of Faith, Love, Holiness, and Self-Control. (1 Timothy 2:11-15)

May the Lord bless all of our Moms. Thank you for being Magnificent!
