12 Blessings Inside The House

blessingsDid you know that God establishes blessings at the same time we are busy messing things up? While it is certainly true that God cannot bless your mess, He certainly can bless you in spite of it. He can even transform your mess into something wonderful.

God is beyond amazing! Throughout the Bible, He is constantly working to fix what we break. A patient father, He picks up the pieces and puts our lives together marvelously if we will only let Him.

God knew before Adam and Eve ever rebelled, that they would. Though He was saddened, He already had a plan in place to restore them. Taking animal skin, He covered their vulnerabilities and simultaneously instituted redemption. (Heb 9:22)

While the Israelites were engaged in the unimaginable design, crafting and worshiping of the golden calf (Ex 32) in the valley, God was with Moses on top of the mountain laying out the system by which they could be blessed. (Ps 133:3)

Think about that for a moment, when your life is a complete mess and you are running from God, He is busy redecorating your room and buying you new clothes for when you are ready to come back home.

When God gave the law to Moses, He laid out His house rules. As soon as we are ready to live by them, He allows us to experience all the blessings of the house. These include: (Deut 28)

  1. City & Country Blessings
  2. Children are Blessed
  3. Property is Blessed
  4. Work is Blessed
  5. Food is Blessed
  6. Travel is Blessed
  7. Battles/Struggles are Blessed (YOU WIN!)
  8. You are Recognized as God’s Favorite
  9. People are Afraid to Mess with You
  10. . Finances are Blessed
  11.   Weather is Blessed

Who wants to move in with Jesus, raise your hand!

Now, there is also a list of curses that fall upon us when we live outside the House of God, but you don’t have to worry about that. Just the fact that you are reading this blog tells me you are going to live inside the House!

So, if you are in the middle of a mess right now. Take a look. God is extending His hand to lift you up, clean you up and bless you up.

It is simple, just say something like this, “God I have messed up, but I know You can pick me up. I’m sorry for the bad choices I have made and I want to live for You.” Amen! (That’s a fancy way of saying “let it be so.”)

Now, go check out His instruction book, called the Bible, and connect with His Bible believing people (Heb 10:25.) They aren’t perfect, but He is working on them. Together the Bible and God’s people can help you find and fulfill your purpose.

Father, bless my readers today in ways they have yet to imagine. Amen!
